This system is a relatively new discovery that revealed itself to Boron explorers in the era of Jump Gate reconnection after 800 NT. Due to its reputed "atmosphere of sadness and unease", travellers tend to pass through quickly on their journey between larger population centres, unless they specifically have business with the local mining consortiums.The titular Lar Rolk was the spouse of Queen Atreus, a notable Boron monarch in pre-Dark history. Rolk met his end prematurely, in an unfortunate incident that continues to play a major role in Boron folklore. Systems, city quarters, public works, and of course, countless Lar children have been named after the tragic figure, yet the average Boron would be hard-pressed to accurately recite the order of events that led to his demise.
