Overview

The collect order is a basic way to have a ship pick up dropped cargo from a ship or station or to reclaim deployables that are no longer needed in a specific location.

Configuration

Select the ship that is to collect a cargo container or deployable (LEFT-CLICK in the map interface).

RIGHT-CLICK the cargo container or deployable to open its context menu and select " Collect" (or  " Collect Deployable" for deployables).

Pilot skill does not directly impact this order

Applications

The collect order is surpassed in most ways by Collect Drops which has the added benefit of being compatible with repeat orders. Collect drops will not collect deactivated deployables and this is something that does need to be done manually with the collect order.

Example

A fighter is ordered to collect a drop from a Xenon ship after a battle.

Caveats

Players should be warned that instructing a ship to collect cargo that has been ejected from a station either from the player's or a pirate faction's hacking attempt will cause a temporary reputation loss with the station which can very easily escalate if the station is armed.
