Overview

Crew are an incredibly valuable component in all ship operations and in many circumstances it can be beneficial to move all or some crew between ships to improve the performance of the player assets as a whole.

Configuration

Select the first ship that is to participate in the crew transfer via the map interface (LEFT-CLICK).

Open the context menu on the second ship that is to participate in the crew transfer via the map interface (RIGHT-CLICK 2nd ship).

Select " Transfer crew with" from the context menu and then adjust crew sliders as required in the crew transfer menu.

Skill Effects

Pilot and crew skill do not directly impact this order.

Applications

The most common application of transferring crew is after a boarding operation as often the ship that has been boarded no longer requires marines on it and they need to be transferred back to the boarding ship to be used in the next boarding operation.

Example

In this example the crew transfer menu is shown after the carrier (Crew Transfer Ship 1) was ordered to exchange crew with the auxiliary ship (Crew Transfer Ship 2).

Caveats

Crew transfers take time and in high attention boarding pods will be used to ferry the crew between the ships.
